11694. Sieur de Buisson Jean GUYON was born 18 Sep 1592 in Perche, France. He was also known as Jean DION-GUYON. He was a stone-mason. (Une des premières familles établies au Québec en 1610 avec Samuel de Champlain.) One of the first families established in Québec in 1610 with Samuel de Champlain. Sieur du Buisson - Lord of Buisson. He married Mathurine Marie ROBIN on 2 Jun 1615 at St-Jean de Mortagne, Perche, France. In 1634, he was hired by Robert GIFFARD to clear the land in the Beauport fief with a promise of a sub-fief of 1000 arpents in this seigneurie. Jean had arrived in 1634 with his eldest son Jean, but the rest of his family did not arrive until 1635. He was buried 30 May 1663 in Beauport, Québec, Canada, where he lived most of his life. ii. Jean GUYON dit DuBuisson was baptized 1 Aug 1619 in St-Jean de Mortagne, Perche, France. His godparents were Jean DUPONT and Anne PASSAVANT. He came to New France with his father in 1634. He married Élisabeth COUILLARD. They had thirteen children. They made their home at Château-Richer in the Seigneurie of Beaupré. In 1667, he became the Royal Surveyor. He died 14 Jan 1694 Château-Richer. His wife died there also on 5 Apr 1704. (1)(3)(8)(10)
iii. Simon GUYON was born 2 Aug and baptized 2 Sep 1621 in St-Jean de Mortagne, Perche, France. Godparents were Simon CHASTEL and Jeanne DESIONIZ. He arrived in New France with his family in 1635 at the age of 14. As a carpenter, he settled on the shore of the Beaupré where he married Louise RACINE, daughter of Étienne RACINE & Marguerite MARTIN, born on 2 Sep 1641 in Québec, daugher of Étienne RACINE & Marguerite MARTIN, on 10 Nov 1653. He sold his share of the Dubuisson sub-fief to his brother François in 1669. He is listed as 55 years old in the Château-Richer Census 1681. At the age of 71, he died on 8 and was buried on 9 Feb 1682 in Québec. Louise died on 5 and was buried on 6 Jan 1675 in Château-Richer. (1)(3)(8)(9)(10)

i. Jean was born on 3 and baptized on 5 Oct 1659 in Québec. He was ordained a priest in Québec on 21 Nov 1683. He was made a Canon on 7 Nov 1684. He died in France on 10 Jan 1687. (9)
